What’s Blowing in the Wind Spring 2017
Here is the official announcement of the 2017 National Juried Exhibit! I am so honored to be included in this fine list of artists! I hope many of you can come for the talk at 2 PM given by the show’s Juror, Laura Augustin, Curatorial Assistant at the Smithsonian American Art Museum. And then stay for the building wide opening and reception! Come drink a glass of wine with me! My entry is “The Old Soul.”
I am also a featured artist at The Expanding Heart Center Gallery on the same day, May 6th! I will be there from 5 – 7 PM. The exhibit is called “Reflections of Flowers.” Painter Rebecca Jackson will also be featured. The website for The Expanding Heart Center is below.
I love putting beauty within everyone’s reach. I have always loved stationary and handwriting personal notes, I want to inspire people to handwrite notes and send cards that will lift someone’s heart. Beauty and fine art should be in everyone’s reach, art belongs in every home. One of my goals is to keep my greeting cards and printed art affordable. Creating art and seeking beauty pulled me from a dark place. Receiving a handwritten note or kind word has changed the course of my day, I want to do that for others who are suffering and experiencing loss and despair.
